VRF and VRV air conditioning
One outdoor unit, many indoor units, and independent temperature control in every room.
Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) is a central air conditioning technology developed in Japan. It cuts electricity use by regulating the flow of refrigerant to match occupancy, the direction of the sun and the heat produced by equipment. VRV is the name some manufacturers use for the same type of system.
Ravi Corporation supplies VRF and VRV systems for applications from small office buildings and stores to large houses and commercial buildings. Some systems cool and heat different areas at the same time, using a branch controller between the outdoor and indoor units.
What you get
- Energy efficient, because refrigerant flow follows the load

- Modern controls for each room or zone
Where it is used
- Offices and corporate buildings
- Hotels and resorts
- Shopping malls and retail stores
- Hospitals and clinics
- Educational institutions
- Large residences

VRF / VRV system
Central system One outdoor unit connects to many indoor units, with independent temperature control in each area. Regulating refrigerant flow to match occupancy and heat load reduces electricity use, and some systems cool and heat different zones at the same time.
Multi-split AC
2 to 8 rooms One outdoor unit serves two to eight rooms. It suits apartments where outdoor space is limited and the look of the building matters, and floor-standing indoor units work where you do not want a wall unit.
Ductable AC
1–17.5 TR Centralised systems that send cool air through ducts hidden in the ceiling. They cool several rooms or large spaces evenly, and inverter models cut power use by matching the load.
Cassette AC
1–4 TR Ceiling-mounted cassettes give uniform four-way airflow across large open areas. They are compact, quiet and sit flush in the false ceiling, which saves floor and wall space.Questions about vrf and vrv air conditioning
What is the difference between VRF and VRV?
Both describe variable refrigerant flow systems. VRV is a name used by some manufacturers, VRF is the general term. The working principle is the same: one outdoor unit feeds many indoor units and the refrigerant flow adjusts to each area.
When should I choose VRF instead of ducted or split ACs?
VRF suits buildings with many rooms or floors where each area needs its own temperature control. For one or two rooms, a split AC is simpler. For one large hall, a ductable or cassette system may fit better. Send us the plan and we recommend the best fit.
Do you supply VRF systems in Gujarat?
Yes. We supply across Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Maharashtra, with offices in Bharuch, Ankleshwar, Vadodara and Godhra.
